CODE OF CONDUCT (LAW 1336 of 2009)

In order to counteract the sexual exploitation of children and adolescents in travel and tourism, TRAVEX SAS and its registered brands TRAVEXTM, TRAVEXLATAM, and SHIFTTM have adopted a Code of Conduct that must be upheld by its legal representative, directors, administrators, employees, and contractors involved in providing tourism services. This is to ensure compliance with the obligations outlined in Articles 16 and 17 of Law 679 of 2001, as well as to prevent behaviors defined in Article 19 of the same law. We have also incorporated the following control measures:

  1. We refrain from offering, either explicitly or implicitly, any plans involving the sexual exploitation of children and adolescents in our programs.
  2. We refrain from providing travelers, directly or through intermediaries, with information about places where commercial sexual exploitation of children and adolescents is coordinated or practiced.
  3. We refrain from taking travelers, directly or through third parties, to establishments or places where commercial sexual exploitation of children is practiced, or bringing children to the places where travelers are staying, including offshore locations, for purposes of commercial sexual exploitation.
  4. We refrain from providing vehicles on tourist routes for purposes of sexual exploitation or abuse involving children and adolescents.
  5. We prevent the entry of children and adolescents into hotels or lodging establishments, bars, similar businesses, and other establishments providing tourism services, when intended for purposes of sexual exploitation or abuse.
  6. We adopt measures to ensure that personnel affiliated in any capacity with TRAVEX SAS do not offer tourism services that allow sexual activity with children and adolescents.
  7. We protect national and foreign children and adolescents from all forms of exploitation and sexual violence originating from national or foreign travelers.
  8. We report to the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism and other relevant authorities any facts or suspicions, regardless of how they are known, related to the sexual exploitation of children and adolescents, and ensure that TRAVEX SAS has internal channels to report such events to the authorities.
  9. We design and disseminate within TRAVEX SAS and among our suppliers a policy that establishes measures to prevent and counter all forms of sexual exploitation of children and adolescents in travel and tourism.
  10. We train all current and future personnel at TRAVEX SAS, as well as suppliers whose activities involve contact with travelers, on the prevention of commercial sexual exploitation of children and adolescents.
  11. We inform our travelers about the legal consequences in Colombia of the sexual exploitation and abuse of children and adolescents.
  12. We post this Code of Conduct and the commitments we have made to protect children and adolescents in a public and visible place within the business establishment.

Failure to comply with this code of conduct may result in administrative sanctions provided for in Art. 71 of Law 300 of 1996 and Law 679/2001 Articles 19 and 20, without prejudice to the criminal sanctions stipulated in Law 599 of 2000.
