Aurora
Aurora is the social impact initiative of TRAVEX that seeks to close educational gaps by promoting sustainable development in vulnerable communities. We connect organizations with meaningful causes, generating transformative learning for both companies and the communities they support.
Aurora is a bridge between organizations and communities, where talent and purpose converge to generate tangible change. Inspired by nature and guided by the Sustainable Development Goals, we aim to empower people through programs that connect, educate, and build a more equitable future.

Through Aurora, we illuminate lives and spaces, inviting people to lead with intention and
turn challenges into opportunities. Together, we spark the flame of change.
At Aurora, we support these 3 programs:
1. POWER UP
Through the PowerUp program, we promote access to sustainable light — a key tool for extending study hours and facilitating learning in communities facing energy poverty. PowerUp empowers communities by providing solar solutions that light up homes and generate new educational and economic opportunities, creating a lasting impact on their quality of life.

Impact
The program promotes educational equity by giving students the opportunity to study longer with a clean light source, creating equal learning opportunities. It also promotes sustainable energy solutions and effective collaboration.
Below are the SDGs impacted by this program:

SDG 4: Quality Education
By delivering valuable knowledge and tools to entrepreneurs, the program promotes business education and professional development.

SDG 7: Affordable and Clean Energy
The use of solar lamps promotes access to clean and sustainable energy, reducing dependence on polluting sources.

SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals
The program fosters collaboration between participants and communities, promoting partnerships for sustainable development.
2. Palenque Program
The Palenque program aims to preserve Afro-Colombian cultural richness and strengthen learning in local communities through the assembly of traditional drums — a tool that educates and inspires through music and tradition.
Palenque promotes a unique way to close the educational gap, using music as a medium for cultural, creative, and emotional learning. The assembled drums not only have an impact on artisan communities by supporting their economy, but are also donated to local music schools where young people can learn, express themselves, and connect with their cultural roots.

Impact
Palenque not only teaches the importance of music and tradition but also generates income for local artisans and strengthens the cultural fabric of communities, creating unique and sustainable educational spaces. Below are the SDGs impacted by this program.

SDG 4: Quality Education
The preservation of cultural traditions through music fosters learning and creative expression, reinforcing cultural identity in communities.

SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth
By supporting local artisans, the program boosts decent employment and strengthens community economies.

SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities
Valuing cultural traditions helps build more inclusive and resilient communities.
The assembled drums can be donated to local music schools, where they become instruments for young people to learn about their cultural identity and develop artistic and emotional skills.
3. Purpose-Driven Management Program
Through the Purpose-Driven Management program, we connect the talent and experience of corporate teams with local entrepreneurs to strengthen their businesses, transform their communities, and build a bridge toward sustainable socioeconomic development.
This program aims not only to improve the sustainability and operations of local ventures but also to raise awareness and commitment among participants to the country’s social and economic challenges, promoting their active participation in transformation and rural development.

Impact
This program directly supports the development of capabilities in local entrepreneurs, strengthening their businesses and promoting inclusive economic growth. At the same time, participants develop empathy and social commitment, contributing to reducing inequalities. Below are the SDGs impacted by this program.

SDG 4: Quality Education
The preservation of cultural traditions through music fosters learning and creative expression, reinforcing cultural identity in communities.

SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth
Strengthening local ventures promotes job creation and sustainable economic development.

SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals
The program fosters collaboration between participants and communities, promoting partnerships for sustainable development.
